Student Team Members

Delaney Lisco, a senior biomedical engineering student at Florida Institute of Technology, became involved with this project in the fall of 2019. She chose biomedical engineering because she is passionate about using engineering to improve human health and quality of life, and she is determined to use this field to make an impact on the world. The goal of this project is to reduce the number of people who are detrimentally affected by contaminated environments. This project is very important to Delaney, as she firmly believes we can make our world a cleaner and safer place for everyone.

Delaney is originally from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. She loves staying active, enjoying the outdoors, traveling, and spending time with friends and family.

Nicole Carpenter was raised in Stafford, Virginia, and graduated magna cum laude from North Stafford High School. She spent ten years as a Girl Scout and earned the Gold Award, which is equivalent to the Eagle Scout. Currently, Nicole is a Senior at Florida Institute of Technology majoring in electrical engineering with a minor in nanotechnology. In addition to her academics, she was the president of the IEEE Student Branch on campus and Robotics Club, and she plays harp for the school orchestra.

Julieta Cruz Chang is currently a senior at Florida Institute of Technology majoring in biomedical engineering with a minor in business administration. Her interest in and passion for biomechanics started during her journey as a track and field athlete. In a future, she would like to pursue a career in the medical device industry in the Research and Development department; therefore, she is willing to put her heart and soul into this project. She is passionate about bringing her ideas into a reality through CAD and 3D printing. Her long-term goal is to introduce new technology to her home country, Guatemala, to change people’s lives.

As a believer in positive thinking and motivation for success, Julieta likes to volunteer at elementary schools and encourage future girl generations to pursue a career in any of the STEM fields as the Launch STEM Careers Club Vice-President. During her free time, she likes to go for a run or dance, read, and try the delicacies of every place where she travels.

Raghav Ringshia is a senior majoring in mechanical engineering and computer science. He has worked with robots for a decade and is passionate about designing them. He is passionate about coding, as well as CAD.  He is open to any kind of music and loves traveling. Staying active and being with friends and family is always a good time for him.
